Mohawk Ambulance Service operates a fleet of more than 40 ambulances and emergency response vehicles which are directed through our high-tech communications center. The center is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year with knowledgeable and specially trained personnel.
Our computer-aided dispatch and GPS tracking systems help us effectively manage our resources and provide superior service. Specifically designed to make call-taking and dispatching more organized and efficient, our system provides real-time information on the location of all its vehicles, allowing us to maximize the availability of our resources for the fastest possible response to an emergency call. Often times, ambulances are already en route before you hang up the phone.
With a full-service billing office in Schenectady, we can quickly meet the needs of our patients. We are a participating provider with several major insurances, including Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Shield, and MVP Health Care; and we bill claims directly to hundreds of other commercial, HMO, no-fault, and workers compensation carriers.
We offer public and professional education classes led by certified, experienced instructors that include a variety of classes such as CPR, basic life support, advance life support, pediatric advanced life support, and more, as well as continuing medical education courses. Our instructors can also provide private training for hospitals as needed.
