Scheduling Coordinator

This is a full time office position. The Scheduling Coordinator would be responsible for the initial creation of schedules and will assist in the maintenance of posted schedules for an Ambulance Service which operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the assigned and essential functions.
-Duties will include the scheduling of Management Personnel, Paramedics, EMTs, Wheelchair Van Drivers, Dispatchers, Business Office Staff and new hires.
-Approving non-exempt employees’ timecards

Preferred Qualifications
– High School Diploma or GED equivalent
– High School Diploma or GED equivalent
– Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
– Must be proficient in the English language, including grammatical usage.
– Must possess patience and the ability to relate tactfully and professionally with all staff.
– Must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures and policies.
– Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
– Must possess outstanding organizational skills.
– Ability to understand and operate mechanics of a multi-line telephone/paging system.
– Must have general computer knowledge and basic training in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook.

Medical Billing Specialist

Mohawk Ambulance is hiring for the position of Medical biller for a high volume, fast paced business office.

Successful candidates will have a minimum of two years’ experience in Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, and commercial billing; electronic transmissions, batch posting and insurance appeals. Good customer service skills and proper phone etiquette are a must. Knowledge of medical terminology and willingness to work as a team player is a must.
